MARTYN STUBBS MNAEA MARLA

Company Director/ Senior Valuer

One of the founder members of the firm, Martyn is a hugely experienced estate agent having joined the industry in 1986. He has lived in the area throughout his career and has a deep knowledge of all types and styles of property throughout the region. Martyn is responsible for market analysis and the overall direction, business development and management of the company. He works in close conjunction with our colleagues at Mayfair Office on new marketing initiatives and PR but retains a high profile presence in Rye operating very much at the sharp end of the business on a day to day basis. Outside interests include keeping fit at the gym, squash and travelling.

JASON STUBBS

Head of Residential Sales

After 26 years in the business, there isn’t much Jason hasn’t seen and done! He has lived in East Sussex all his life and has an in-depth knowledge of the area; invaluable when matching people to property. After Plumpton Agricultural College, a career in the country property market seemed a natural progression. Jason has also developed our specialist Coastal department, which has produced some outstanding results over the last five years by exposing some highly individual and unique properties to the London market. Outside interests include wildlife photography and skiing. Jason is also an Advanced Scuba Diving Instructor and has travelled throughout eastern and Southern Africa.

SUE FORMAN

Property Specialist

Sue Forman has been in the estate agency business for 26 years, enjoying her role as sales negotiator in both corporate and independent companies in Tenterden and Rye. Prior to this profession she taught students at Fareham College in Hampshire and helped to set up and run a new teaching establishment for YTS students in Wales. Sue is an excellent communicator and her enthusiasm and approachable manner make her well liked by both her colleagues and the public and she is particularly adept at sales progression and problem solving. Her hobbies include travel, zumba, film-going and fundraising for the Pilgrims Hospice.

KIM USHER

Sales Negotiator

Kim Usher spent her early career working internationally for the financial services industry before going on to join the estate agency business. Kim brings a highly professional, diligent, approach together with her attention to detail, to the role of sales negotiator. She works tirelessly, driving the sales process to deliver outstanding results. Living locally, her interests include, all things equestrian, her dachshund Monty and appreciating the finer things in life.

TAMSIN VISICK

Sales Facilitator

Tamsin took a degree in Estate Management before qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor. She has a broad range of property experience having worked for a number of corporate organisations including the Corporation of London and over 10 years as a management consultant in the Real Estate Group for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Using her experience Tamsin constantly reviews, analyses and monitors the marketing proceedure, regularly reporting back to the vendors ensuring the maximum effort is given to the promotion of each and every property.

EDWARD GAILEY

Client Relationship Manager (Lettings)

Having successfully completed his Marketing Degree in London in 1994, Edward Gailey moved straight into the Lettings Industry and has never looked back. After managing successful offices in London for over 10 years, he moved back to the South Coast in 2007 and is now based in the Rye Office where the Lettings and Management arm of Phillips and Stubbs has gone from strength to strength. Passing the ARLA legal course with Merit, Edward works to very high standards, has a good understanding of the relevant legislation and is a charismatic member of the team. Outside of work he is a keen golfer and an active follower of equestrian pursuits.

HANNAH WILTON

Property Manager (Lettings)

Although a relative newcomer to the lettings industry, having recently moved across from residential sales, Hannah’s wider experience in dealing with customer service and customer satisfaction is exemplary. She previously worked under pressure as part of a team in demanding, fast paced environments in both the retail and service sectors. Hannah’s enthusiastic and engaging manner delivers great results and establishes effective client/agent relationships.
