One of the founder members of the firm, Martyn is a hugely experienced estate agent having joined the industry in 1986. He has lived in the area throughout his career and has a deep knowledge of all types and styles of property throughout the region.
Martyn is responsible for market analysis and the overall direction, business development and management of the company. He works in close conjunction with our colleagues at Mayfair Office on new marketing initiatives and PR but retains a high profile presence in Rye operating very much at the sharp end of the business on a day to day basis.
Outside interests include keeping fit at the gym, squash and travelling.
After 35 years in the business, there isn’t much Jason hasn’t seen and done! He has lived in East Sussex all his life and has an in-depth knowledge of the area; invaluable when matching people to property. After Plumpton Agricultural College, a career in the country property market seemed a natural progression.
Jason has also developed our specialist Coastal department, which has produced some outstanding results over the last 20 years by exposing some highly individual and unique properties to the London market.
Outside interests include classic cars, tennis, photography and skiing. Jason is also an Advanced Scuba Diving Instructor and has enjoyed extensive travel adventures throughout Southern and Eastern Africa, America, Canada, India, Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
Kim Usher spent her early career working internationally for the financial services industry before going on to join the estate agency business. Kim brings a highly professional, diligent, approach together with her attention to detail, to the role of sales negotiator.
She works tirelessly, driving the sales process to deliver outstanding results. Living locally, her interests include, all things equestrian, her dachshund Monty and appreciating the finer things in life.
Following a successful career in Design, Judith relocated from London to Rye with her husband Victor in 2001. They have always had a passion for property and have moved house many times over the years each time renovating and enhancing the buildings with great attention to detail.
When Martyn asked Victor to redesign the interior of Phillips and Stubbs office 20 years ago, Judith also began to work on various creative branding projects for the company and is now a dedicated member of the Phillips and Stubbs team.
Having successfully completed his Marketing Degree in London in 1994, Edward Gailey moved straight into the Lettings Industry and has never looked back.
After managing successful offices in London for over 10 years, he moved back to the South Coast in 2007 and is now based in the Rye Office where the Lettings and Management arm of Phillips and Stubbs has gone from strength to strength.
Passing the ARLA legal course with Merit, Edward works to very high standards, has a good understanding of the relevant legislation and is a charismatic member of the team. Outside of work he is a keen golfer and an active follower of equestrian pursuits.
With a wealth of experience in sales and marketing Larissa brings a high level of skill and expertise to our growing lettings department. A highly motivated individual Larissa’s diligence is crucial to the ongoing management of our properties whilst delivering the highest standards of customer care.
Working alongside her colleagues Larissa’s team spirit is indisputable adding to her approachable, affable manner when liaising with our landlords and tenants.
Outside work Larissa enjoys property renovation, horse riding and taking care of her menagerie of animals.
Having lived in East Sussex all her life, Parris has an in-depth knowledge of the local area. Her previous experience in sales and working for Kent Police as an emergency 999 call handler gave her the confidence to pursue a career in estate agency in Rye where she has worked for the last 7 years. In her leisure time, Parris loves travelling as often as possible and spending quality time with her two rescue dogs, friends and family.
Oversees public relations and strategic marketing. With 30+ years in real estate networks and a degree in business communications and English literature, she excels in international marketing, strategic storytelling, and engaging diverse audiences.
Yokaira brings with her an impressive and well-rounded background in both operations and marketing, having served as Office Manager at Casa de Campo managing everything from client service and staff supervision to budget coordination and event planning. In addition to her strong operational skills, Yokaira brings a wealth of marketing coordination experience, having produced high-quality branded content, managed social media presence, and supported sales associates with marketing materials and property promotions. She is fluent in three languages: English, Spanish and Italian.
A British designer, illustrator, international design consultant, fine artist and photographer. Victor has worked as an international design consultant for many leading brands across the UK and USA. He was also an important contributor to Design Innovation, Graduate Education and Visual Literacy. In 2010 he produced all the graphics for the Phillips and Stubbs new brand ‘Coastal & Country’ within an established estate agents business i.e. Agency interior design, a crest, brand name, all publications brochures and stationery. Victor continues to work with Martyn on the ‘futurescape’of the business.
